About this event
Our meeting this month will feature John Byl turning a lidded box w/finial. We will also be having the book sale again from the collection of Steve Rome, one of the founding Fathers of the Bayou Woodturners. All books are $5.00, cash and check accepted. There is something not just for the turner, but the regular woodworker plus books on tips and shop jigs plus finishing for your projects.
May challenge will be on candle holders. Many of you saw some of the candlestick holders in the past few months galleries and posted on our Facebook page. Some of our members are turning candlestick holders for the table decorations for this years SWAT. We encourage everyone to turn a candlestick holder for the May challenge, whether you are donating the piece or not. We will break up the challenge into newer turner, intermediate and experienced turner judging.
Also be sure to bring the latest turning project you have been working on for our Instant Gallery.
