Methods for Turning Long Spindles

There is an allure to long spindles that makes us willing to go to the lengths required to turn them, but we all know that there are limits to the lengths of spindles that we can turn just between centers.  Bob Bartlett will turn a long spindle as a way to show not only the helper tools but also some techniques that will help you turn long spindles. 

Come join us and pick up some tips, ideas and techniques for turning that long spindle. Be sure to bring your latest pieces of art for the instant gallery. We will also have our Goblet challenge, so, if you haven't turned one yet, you still have time to get one ready. There will be our wood raffle, a great opportunity to pick up a nice piece of wood that you may not have worked with before.
